Ship and Changes

The ship in different stories is often associated with changes in life. I can’t tell all the stories. There are two main plotlines related to the reboot of infinity and stories for eternity.

In the first case, the ark ship appears. Representatives of the world are saved on it to start life anew.

In the second version, the ship with the heroes sails from their native land to other shores to meet adventures and brings something new to the familiar world. It is associated with one of the most famous ancient Greek myths about the Argonauts ‘ voyage for the Golden Fleece on the ship “Argo.”

Argo Navis (the Ship Argo) is the name of the largest constellation in the star atlases until the middle of the XVIII century. Later, according to Wikipedia, the French astronomer Lacaille divided it into Carina (the hull), Puppis (the poop deck) and Vela (the sails).. He also singled out the constellation Pyxis at the place where the ship’s mast was. (Abbreviated from Pyxis Nautica, its name is Latin for a mariner’s compass.) It seems that we need to assemble a single ship again to sail. And then we can go on the road for new stories.

Crius – the Ram (Aries) with the Golden Fleece

The ram with the “Golden Fleece” was the son of the god Poseidon in Greek mythology. His name was Crius (Krius). And he became a sacrifice, apparently, instead of Isaac, the son of Abraham in the story from the Bible. Zeus raised him after his death to heaven in the form of the constellation Aries (Ram). The Latin name of the constellation is reminiscent of the “Aryan race” and Hitler. And there is a group of Indo-Iranian peoples called Aryan.

Crius is also the name of one of the Titans, the son of Uranus and Gaia. He was thrown into Tartarus. (According to one version, Tartarus is projected onto Tartary, the land of Genghis Khan’s Empire.)

(The “Golden Fleece” of the sacrificed Crius, for which the Argonauts sailed, was in the sacred grove of the god Ares in Colchis (the territory of modern Georgia), which was ruled by Aeëtes, the son of the god Helios. Prometheus, who stole the fire of creation from the gods and brought it to people, was chained to a rock in this country (the Caucasus Mountains). The Prometheus has something in common with the Lermontov’ Demon.)

Crius and Osiris

Crius, divided into parts, resembles Osiris, the god of rebirth in ancient Egypt. (The crown, bark, and jed of this god are of papyrus.) At first, after Seth killed him, Osiris was the ruler of Duat, the realm of the dead. His coffin sailed in Byblos (coast of the Mediterranean sea, 32 km from Beirut, the modern capital of Lebanon).

This Phoenician port of the Middle East was the center of relations, on the one hand, with Ancient Egypt, and on the other, with Mesopotamia. Isis took her husband’s body from Byblos back to Egypt, where Seth cut it into 14 pieces for the 14 zones of the underworld of Amenti. (There are the Overseas Territories of France, British Overseas Territories, and 14 Commonwealth realms, not counting the United Kingdom and Canada. France and the subconscious, Great Britain and the conscious. They are united in Canada.)

In the Predynastic period, the Duat “was” in the sky. And, as it is written in Wikipedia, the god Thoth on a silver boat transported the souls of the dead there. The Fields of Aaru (The Fields of Reeds) was the “oasis” of the eastern sky during the Old Kingdom. (It’s the prototype of the Elysian Fields, Elysium in ancient mythology, or Paradise in religion.)

And in the Middle Kingdom, they moved west to the underworld. The world of the dead Duat connects to the underworld of Amenti, divided into 14 zones. Osiris remains to rule them as Khenti-Amentiu – “the Lord of the West (the land of the dead).” His cult becomes the most important to the people in Egypt.
